Our Purpose & Vision

We created NEST to restore stability, dignity, and hope for families affected by war and displacement.
Our mission is to build safe, sustainable, and community-centered housing solutions that empower people to rebuild their lives with dignity and long-term security.

About NEST Foundation
NEST Foundation is an international humanitarian initiative focused on creating long-term, safe, and affordable housing solutions for families who have lost their homes due to war, crisis, or economic collapse.

We combine modern planning, transparent governance, and responsible innovation to build communities where people can regain stability, dignity, and a real home — not for weeks or months, but for years.

Why We Created NEST
NEST was born from a simple, painful reality: millions of displaced families live for years without stable housing, moving between temporary shelters, host flats, and uncertain conditions.

Traditional systems are often:
• slow and bureaucratic
• difficult to access for vulnerable families
• not transparent enough for donors and partners

NEST Foundation was created to change this — by building a housing model that is:
• people-centered
• transparent from day one
• designed for long-term stability, not short-term aid.

Our Values & Leadership Philosophy
We believe that humanitarian housing must be built on trust.

Our core leadership principles:
• Transparent – decisions, processes, and financial flows are clearly documented and shared.
• People-centered – families and communities come before structures and systems.
• Ethical – we follow clear moral standards in every partnership and decision.
• Accountable – leadership remains answerable to the community and partners.
• Built on lived experience – NEST is shaped by people who have personally faced displacement and instability.
• Guided by community needs – programs are designed around real needs, not abstract concepts.

This is the foundation on which NEST is being built — step by step, with purpose and integrity.

How NEST Foundation Is Organized
To keep responsibilities clear and transparent, NEST Foundation is structured in three main layers:

1. Governance (Top Layer)
A small group (4–7 people) responsible for oversight, strategic direction, and accountability.

2. Core Units (Middle Layer)
Specialists (legal, financial, technical, construction, communications, community operations) who design and coordinate programs.

3. Local Village Teams (Bottom Layer)
On-the-ground teams in each settlement (8–12 people per village) who support families, oversee construction and operations, and lead community engagement.

This structure ensures that decisions are supervised, work is professional, and every settlement has local support.

Transparency & Current Stage
NEST Foundation is built on honesty, clarity, and full transparency — especially because we work with housing, families, and long-term stability.

Where the project stands today
NEST Foundation is currently in the formation / pre-registration stage. At this moment:
✔ The concept and housing model are fully developed
✔ Whitepaper and Lightpaper v1.0 are prepared
✔ Website and communication framework are live
✔ Mission, values, and governance model are defined
✔ Legal preparation for foundation registration in Estonia is in progress
✔ Community-building phase has begun

What is NOT active yet
To avoid any misunderstanding, we clearly state:
✖ No housing programs are active yet
✖ No settlements are under construction now
✖ No applications or waiting lists for housing are open
✖ No financial contributions from families are collected
✖ No investments, donations, or token-related activities are launched

These programs will begin only after:
1️⃣ Official legal registration of the NEST Foundation
2️⃣ Approval of governance structure
3️⃣ Opening of a foundation bank account and compliance framework

Our commitment before launch
Until the foundation is legally registered:
✔ We provide information only
✔ We publish updates openly
✔ We develop documentation and structure
✔ We prepare partnerships
✔ We never ask for money
✔ We do not offer any housing rights

Future transparency measures
After legal registration, NEST will implement:
• public annual reports
• full financial transparency
• open documentation on settlements
• traceable allocation of funds
• DAO-based governance components
• public roadmap updates
• verified partner disclosures.

Our Promise
We promise to always communicate openly:
• what NEST can do
• what NEST cannot do
• what stage we are in now
• what comes next

Transparency is not only part of our mission —
it is the foundation upon which NEST is being built.

Important Notice
NEST Foundation is currently in preparation.
All housing programs will start only after official legal registration and will follow European humanitarian and financial guidelines.
